Analytic NW grew from compliance work on funded programs managed in Taiwan—research consortia, training grants, and foundation awards that needed independent eyes before a monitor asked hard questions.
Why we exist
Program teams in Taipei often hold awards written under foreign cost principles while their day-to-day ledgers follow local accounting habits. Gaps appear in matching schedules, effort certifications, and consultant contracts long before anyone notices a problem in the drawdown report.
Our mission is straightforward: test what was charged against what the agreement allows, write findings in language finance and program staff can act on, and leave the organization stronger for the next reporting cycle.
How we work
We start with the award packet, not a generic checklist. Sampling plans follow risk—personnel, large vendors, cost transfers, and subrecipient payments get more attention than routine supplies. Findings include the transaction trail and a practical remediation path.
We do not sell software, nor do we replace your controller. We sit beside your team for the engagement window, then hand back a report you can take into board or funder conversations.

Evidence over assumption
Every questioned cost cites a document, a clause, and a date. We do not pad reports with vague “control environment” language.
Respect for program delivery
Compliance exists so funded activities can continue. We schedule fieldwork around reporting deadlines and classroom or clinic calendars when needed.
Clear Mandarin and English drafting
Many of our clients brief both local leadership and overseas funders. Reports can be delivered in English with bilingual finding summaries on request.
Independence with candor
If a control is weak, we say so. If a finding is minor, we say that too—so boards can prioritize real exposure.
